Sister Leila Mae Parker “Ma Lelia" was born January 28, 1929 to the late Andrew and Ellen Barron of Woodland, Georgia. Ma Leila joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church Choir. Ma Leila enjoyed going to church and bible study. Ma Leila retired from Goody’s Products in the early 90’s. Ma Leila was united in holy matrimony to the late John Parker of Youngstown, Ohio.

Ma Leila departed this life on September 25, 2011.

Ma Leila leaves to cherish her: nine children, three of whom preceded her in death, Stanley Parker, Johnnie Mae Walton and Tony Parker; Ralph (Tish) Parker of Manchester, Georgia, Mary Ann (Larry) Harvey of Woodland, Georgia, Kelvin (Angela) Bryant of Phoenix City, Alabama, Robin Wilson of Woodland, Georgia, Jeffery (Robin) Leonard of Woodland, Georgia, and Dexter Leonard of South Carolina.; She has four brothers and one sister, three of whom preceded her in death, Robert Barron, Perry Lee Barron, and John H. Barron; Mary A. Turner of Woodland, Georgia and Jack (Betty) Barron of Atlanta, Georgia; One son-in-law, Larry Walton of Columbus, Georgia; She was blessed with thirty grand kids, twenty-seven great grand kids and four great great grand kids; And a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Ma Leila touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way till the end.
