Grandma's Wings

Grandma I wonder
where you keep your wings.

Are they hung in your closet
with the rest of your things?

Do you put them away
and just use them at night

Or hide them to keep them out of sight.

I know you have wings,
for this must be true,

Because God always gives
them to Angels just like YOU!

Our beloved mother, The Lord has blessed you to live for 93 years, 2 months and 1 day and we have enjoyed your motherly love for 68 years. You taught us to love each other, have faith in God and do the right thing. We have taken your advise and are blessed daily. Mother, you have fought a good fight, you have finished the course and most of all, you kept the faith. Now, you can rest knowing that you have been faithful and served mankind to the best of your ability. Sleep on and we will meet and talk again soon.

John 14:27-29 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe."

To the Williams family please know that each of you are in my prayers. My family and I send our condolences. Heaven waited long enough for Mrs. Lella Mae. I hope that you each find comfort in knowing that you may have lost a loved one but you gained an angel. God bless you all.

Mrs. Lella Mae you were an amazing woman! During our 44 years together you were like a second Mom. You were loving, encouraging and supportive to our family. Our two boys, Dwayne and Tim always wanted to know when was the next trip or move because they knew you and Dot would be there. They loved your cooking as many of us did. Our hearts are heavy with grief! We will miss you so much! Home will never be the same again but we will remember your sweetness and the things you taught us. I will also miss your laughter! Love you. Mildred and Family
