Mom, I miss you so much & I wish I could talk to you. I hope you know how much you mean to me & how much I love you. I always admired your strength & attitude about people & life. You helped me & I greatly appreciate everything you did for me. I am so sorry we had arguments & don't understand why we couldn't talk. I love you Mom. You will always be my loving Mom. Love Tricia xoxoxoxo

Orinoco Flow 2013

January 1, 2013

let me sail, let me sail, let the orinoco flow,
let me reach, let me beach on the shores of Tripoli.
let me sail, let me sail, let me crash upon your shore,
let me reach, let me beach far beyond the Yellow Sea.
da da, da da, da da, da da, da da

sail away, sail away, sail away
sail away, sail away, sail away
sail away, sail away, sail away
sail away, sail away, sail away

from Bissau to Palau - in the shade of Avalon,
from Fiji to Tiree and the Isles of Ebony,
from Peru to Cebu hear the power of Babylon,
from Bali to Cali - far beneath the Coral Sea.

da da, da da, da da, da da, da da

turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, up, up adieu
turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, up, up adieu
turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, up, up adieu

sail away...

from the North to the South, Ebudæ into Khartoum,
from the deep sea of Clouds to the island of the moon,
carry me on the waves to the lands I've never been,
carry me on the waves to the lands I've never seen.

we can sail, we can sail, with the orinoco flow,
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away
we can steer, we can near with Rob Dickins at the wheel,
we can sigh, say goodbye Ross and his dependencies
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away

we can reach, we can beach on the shores of Tripoli
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away

from Bali to Cali - far beneath the Coral Sea
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away

from Bissau to Palau - in the shade of Avalon
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away

we can reach, we can beach far beyond the Yellow Sea.
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away

from Peru to Cebu hear the power of Babylon,
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away
we can sail, we can sail,
sail away, sail away, sail away...

Merry Christmas Mom

December 26, 2012

Dear Mom,

Thank you for all the wonderful Christmastimes in my life. It wasn't the same this year. I didn't even decorate. It didn't feel like Christmas. I miss you Mom and I love you. I know you are watching over me and talking to me.

Things I remember about Mom.

She loved being down the shore.

She loved being independent and by herself.

She loved the sunshine and sitting in the sun and getting a tan.

She was very good at Math and figuring out math problems.

She loved to cook and make delicious food.

She loved to go shopping for bargains .

She loved "a good cup of coffee!"

She loved Boscovs.

She loved to read The Press newspaper.

She loved to watch the Philles.

She loved watching Vince Mc Man and WW.

She loved listening to the talk radio station.

She loved to dress up and always took care of herself.

She loved her gold jewelry.

She loved Seashell our cat from Dartmouth Drive

She loved Ocean the puddy cat that we adopted in Brigantine in 1997.

She loved crab cakes from Shore Diner.

She loved to bake.

She loved to eat fruit.

She loved to eat vegetables.

She loved to make bread

She loved to make pies.

She never was on a diet.

She never excersied or worked out.

She quit smoking at age 70 because of a blockage in her artery.

She loved Wheel of Fortune

She loved to go for drives in her car.

She loved to sit on the beach and read.

She Loved Christmas and the Holidays.

Before Mom retired and as long as I can remember she went to work everyday. She never took time off. The only time I remember her not going to work is when her and Dad got divorced. I remember she only took off two weeks.  I remember alot about after she retired and moved to Brigantine.

Sometimes when we were talking or watching tv  she would say to me in Itailian - la vecchiaia è brutta.
