Lennon life was filled with love and happiness, cause he was surrounded by his mom who loved him so much and was with him throughout all he did in his short 5 years of life. He is loved and missed very much!

Lennon Hunt and his ongoing battle with cancer and ALD. He is an amazing boy and deserves lots of love and support! If you would like to mail a card to Lennon our address is 5649 So. 31st ST #5 Lincoln, Ne 68516

DescriptionLennon was diagnosed with Cancer at age 2 1/2 Feb 6, 2009. He had a Mri done because he was vomiting all the time and we couldn't figure out why (the doc and myself). He underwent a craniotomy surgery on Feb 9, 2009 and it was successful and the tumor was fully resected. He then underwent chemotherapy (5 cycles), he also had stem cells harvested in case of a future possible transplant and then we ...did a month of radiation. Radiation was 5 days a week in Omaha and UNMC. Chemo was usually over 5 days all of which were spent at Children's hospital in Omaha. In October of 2009 after a MRI's he was said to be in remission.

We resumed our "normal" lives, he went back to daycare and I went back to work and school. In January of 2010 we went on a Make-a-Wish trip to Disney/Universal. In April 2010 he had a follow up Mri and it was discovered that Lennon had relapsed. He now had 4 brain tumors, and tumors had spread to his spine. Basically we would have to start all over again and the hope/percentage of success was deemed very low. We again begun chemo, this time it was over 3 days, but we usually spent at least 5 in the hospital again at Children's. We did 4 cycles of this, Mri's showed some improvement, the tumors were shrinking. However I began to notice he was having trouble with his walking and balance. We began to check his eyes, meet with other docs, etc to get some answers, because it was unclear why and there was nothing that they could see in the MRI for an explanation. I began to hear from a couple of docs and then ultimately 2 doctors at John Hopkins said that it was was ALD, a hereditary disease that runs in my family. We have known that Lennon has it, however, we did not know when it would present itself. It is fatal. Since that discovery we have continued at home chemo that is given orally, he is now confined to a wheelchair and has lost most of his speaking ability. He is still extremely happy and loved, however.Lennon got his Angel Wings Sept 4th 2011! Fly High Lennon,we love you forever and ever!
