Happy Easter, Daddy!! I love you & miss you do much!! Ellie loved swinging and visiting with you. She thinks of you often and loves you just as much as I do. You are her Papa in Heaven. According to her calculations this morning... She loves God first, you second (because you are close to God) and me third (cause I'm here on Earth with her. She is my mini me.

Just wanted to say we saw you helping the kids with the egg hunt. Everyone seemed to have a great time today at the Cranford/Knight family reunion. Although Uncle Jack and Terri were both sick. There were 28 here today. Sarah and Brittney must have hidden a hundred candy eggs for the kids. They will be on a high for the next week with all that candy. Sarah has shopped for the last 2 months for the decorations, bunny, eggs, signs. We took lots of family pictures so I’m sure she’ll post a few for you to see. We had four tables of food and desserts. It was unreal how much food, but everybody brought a covered dish.
I missed you and I know this was one of your favorite holidays.
It’s been a long day and the Braves won second game against the Phillies so I’m off to bed. I’ll love you. We’ll talk later.

OLD is not working out for me and I don’ t like it.
We always having some spring weather so I can get out and do things but seems every 2-3 days are rainy. I mentioned having a reunion at Easter like old times and that Sarah talked me into having them Cranford’s and Knight’s. Gonna need a lot of help to pull this off. Since most of the older Cranford’s and Knight’s are with you please send help! Mostly this will be a gathering for the cousins to get together and maybe bond so that they have someone to lean on for support. Family is the most important thing and sometimes we forget that! Everyone needs someone to turn too!
I made you a pound cake for your birthday. Bud and Billie anniversary is today don’t forget.

Happy Valentine's Day, Daddy! I still wish you were here with us. Life just isn't the same without you. You missed and loved so much!! Ellie is growing up so fast and she took her Daddy, Edward, to the Valentine's Day dance at school last weekend. She is definitely a Daddy's Girl and Edward is a great Daddy too her. 
You would be so in awe over her. She is definitely my mini me. From her looks to her attitude. So, keep an eye on her! I love you, Daddy!!

Got that “baby” of “our’s” to the ripe old age of (50).Time is going as fast as a freight train to the station. I am trying to get my act to together and get all this stuff sold or auctioned so the kids don’t have to deal with it and watch every step they make for snakes. Gonna need lots of help from you and Jesus and send me a couple of Big strapping men to just load all that metal you have up there. I miss you but I don’t know why I didn’t make you handle all this before you left. Oh, well I got it now. I may “still be just a girl” but I can do this ! Scooter’s a big help to me sometimes and now he’s old enough to start worrying about me. Him and Daniel both seeing if I’m ok. Maybe they won’t have to put up with me long. We need a little break in the rain down here in Georgia if you can handle that. Got to go fix Scooter some breakfast and I waiting on cox man to work on my jacks. This is the 3rd appointment and still have 3 jacks not working. I love you and miss more than I could’ve imagined. You are still on my mind everyday. Sarah got you new blue and white flowers for Father’s Day. They are very pretty.

Rainy night in Georgia. This has been the wettest season ever. I’m really sick of it. But I guess it’s good, it makes me take time to slow down. Old age isn’t working for me. I still have things to do and my body doesn’t want to co-operate any more.
I wish you would have left instructions for the jobs you did that I didn’t even know you did. Well the tractor doesn’t work and the road is in terrible shape. I finally got me a small hand held chain saw to cut some of the small branches to keep the limbs out of Daniel’s way when he cuts grass. Had to get plumber and electrician; that you could have handled but I couldn’t.
Nothing is the same without you. I miss you everyday. I love you. Talk later.

Getting ready for Thanksgiving. Got your place at the head of the table. (As usual.) Tater came and help cook yesterday and she’s be back today. She’s the only one I can count on. Everybody else just shows up in time to eat. Think I have more food than we gonna need. The kids were inviting guest but last minute they canceled. I ask Sherian too. We all miss you and your antics. Guess what? Sarah got us tickets to Grand Ol Opry for April 14, 2022. Sarah, Brittney, Terri and I are going on the 13th.
She heard me say I always wanted to go and stand on the circle where all the famous country music singers had stood. Always a dream for us, but we never got to go. I wasn't too excited about going since most of our favorite singers have retired or passed but guess who is going be there? We just heard Crystal Gayle, Loretta Lynn's sister will lead off a celebration for Loretta Lynn's 90th Birthday. Loretta Lynn's daughter and Conway Twitty's son are going perform Conway and Loretta's songs. Just wondering if you had something to with that because we always wanted to go to the Opry when Conway and Loretta were singing. Next best thing (their kids)! You and God make an awesome team! Thanks. Wish you were here to go with.

Everyone here is doing fine but they all still miss you. Mike is helping me put Tin on your shop and replace some rotten boards. I miss you more than I ever thought I would. I miss the little things that now are the Big things. Like you calling me to come down the hallway so you could share something on the tv, or watch the goats in the field, or you just telling me you loved me. I miss having to cook all those biscuits (I’ve gotten where I can hardly cook them any more). Besides no one enjoys food like you did. They just get me to cook because they are too lazy to do it for themselves. I’m moving slow this morning couldn’t sleep last night. Still having my coffee; wish you were here so we could have coffee together like we used to.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! We missed you today but you were still remembering in the story telling time. You will never be forgotten. Your smile and the life lessons that you taught the boys has been invaluable. Of course, the tight reins you had on the girls made them the best daughters and the best moms. Your present had an impact on everyone you ever touched. YOU MADE ME PROUD TO CLAIM YOU AS MY OWN! (The training was a little rough sometimes, but you turned out the BEST! Happy Easter Daddy!! I hope you like your Easter wreath. I sure do miss you. I ate your favorite candy eggs for you today. Easter just isn't the same without you. Ellie got to come down from Virginia to spend some time with us. I sure hope you were looking down on us last weekend when we celebrated Easter with all the kids. Thanks for helping me pick up the pecans today. It was was great to see you and sister. Of course, she was no help; see how quickly she left when we started to work. About time to fix that fruitcake; Edward likes fruitcake as much as you. Guess he will be eating his and your share. I miss you and I am always watching out for you. Daniel and I had to get our Driver's License this year; its probably my last one. It has been so hot this summer but fall will be here Tuesday so I'm trying to get things ready for the cold. This hurricane season has reeked havoc on those pecan trees. We have had many large limbs fall out. Time for me to call it a day. Bath time and a good book until bedtime. I Love You and I Miss You. It's been hard lately. So recently within the last week, I've lit a microwave on fire, crashed my car, and got tested for COVID. haha, how's your week been?
I've been thinking about you a lot these last few months. I always wish I could talk to you through hard times, because I always knew you had my back. I know that you still do, so if you could handle my dirty work from Heaven, that would be greatly appreciated. Nothing that would get you in trouble but enough to make them know it was you. Thanks! I'll owe you one!

I know that you're super busy in Heaven watching Nana work in the yard and watching over Brant, but if you could go hang out with dad, I would greatly appreciate it. I think he misses me and he needs someone to talk to while I'm at college. Also, Bubba passed his last IT test so that's really cool! He was really excited about it the last time we talked!

An update on my cooking would be that I'm cooking every night in college now. Cheap and easy meals but I'm trying.

It's crazy to think that Brant will be 7 this year and that it has been 7 years without you. Daniel and I always talk about how crazy it is that if you were still here, Brant wouldn't get away with so much. And OMG does he look and talk just like Braden Elliott. Brant is a spitting image, but knowing you, you probably had a say so in it. We all know that Braden was yours and Nana's favorite out of me and Bubba, so it would make sense on why you would want a second one. Bubba and Savannah are doing good I think. I've been being nice so they better be lol

Well, I need to get to the rest of my homework done before school tomorrow. It's crazy to think I have an assignment due for a class that I haven't even been to yet. I love you Pops! Watch over these crazy people we are related to. You can't fix stupid but maybe you can keep them from being dead stupid.

Oh yeah I forgot the important thing. I'm learning to cook. I've cooked chicken and dumplings in college, tomato rice, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and spaghetti. I know it's not a lot but I'm getting there. I have to call nana ever time I turn the stove on though to make sure that I'm doing it right.

Hey papa!
I just wanted to give you a life update. There is the current thing in the world now called the Coronavirus and brant thinks I have it but I know its just his way of getting out of hugs and kisses. I also have recently gotten into my cohort at school! That basically means that I am on track to graduate through the education department in college and I'm super excited about it. I've also been working out at Camp Grace and that's been really good for my heart I think. Just letting me see the behind the scenes of ministry work!
Anyways, I sure have missed you and our talks on the front porch on the swing. Those silly girls in college don't know anything about the importance of coffee and a front porch swing with the people you love.
But I know that you are watching over me and walking with Jesus and probably talking about all my bad decisions lol. Keep me safe Pops. I sure do love you! Tell Nana I said hey and that my dad misses her too.
