Dad spending time with Matthew mowing the yard in Aug. 2008 when David was in Iraq. Matthew loved spending time with Grandpa and was always learning something from him.

Christy and I surprised Dad for his 70th birthday. Here he is wearing his birthday sombrero!  

Dad always enjoyed listening to my husband's father, John and uncle, Bob's stories and laughs. 

Papa and Grandma Louise visiting for Savannah's high school graduation, June 2016. Sadly he will miss his last grandchilds high school graduation, Savannahs brother, Hayden. 

Papa and Grandma Louise were always supportive of their grandchildren's sporting activities. Papa and Gma came to visit us and cheer on Savannah in the Fall 2015.

When Dad would come to visit my family in Lawrenceburg, KY we would go to the Sportsman Club (which I live beside) and fire some rounds. Was always a good time.
 

Savannah choose her Papa Neil for her 8th grade generation project. It was a project where the kids learned how their grandparent grew up, specifics to his generation like what was in sytle, what was popular.  Papa and her sent letters back and forth to each other. He sent her many pictures of his childhood, us 3 girls, our grandparents and ancestors. He even sent his birth certificate. Savannah put all their letters and pictures in a nice photo albulm. Here she is showing him the final project. His letters were full of so much information, Christy and I referred back to it when writing his obituary. Papa was so proud of you Savannah. You did a great job. A memory we will cherish forever! 

Dad was in town (Olympia WA) for Capital High School Football Semi-finals football game at the Tacoma Dome in 2012 where my husband John is the head football coach. It was a special honor having my Dad fly in just for that.
