Leroy will truly be missed. He was such a kind, calm and friendly person. My last conversation with him was us planning to share the good news of Bible with persons. And one of the good news is that soon the earth will be a paradise and we will be reunited with loved ones like Leroy. My condolences to his family. I pray that Jehovah comforts you during this difficult time.

Leroy was truly one of the most enjoyable persons to be around. Every moment with him had a smile on my face from being on the court, on the game or riding riding around town. He would make the most boring of times exciting. "My Boy" had a sense of humor few would ever have and humility and modesty that even fewer could ever obtain. You will always be in my memory and may you forever be in Jehovah's.

When I think of Leroy he was like another brother to me chill, nice, intelligent, hilarious, humble, shy and so many more. It reminds me of the first time we met you were shy wasn't talking much but man once we got close all that shyness seemed to have disappeared we would laugh alot encourage each other telling stories and that really made me happy that day you had decided to get baptized and to see all the hard work you were doing for Jehovah. It feels so unreal that you are gone, just know that we will miss you alot until we meet again Leroy.

Leroy ( or Bruno as he said to call him ) was very cool, calm and collected and might I add, had his humorous ways. We had shared lots in common when we had conversations it was a joy. It was truly a pleasure to know him and he will most certainly be missed. Honestly looking forward to seeing him in the Paradise to come.

Leroy was a very special boy.
He lived in my neighborhood when he went to Government High School.
Each morning he pass i notice his manner was different from all the other boys.
After i spoke with him it was my happy privilege to learn he was being trained by Jehovah.
Leroy was the epitome of how a young man being train by Jehovah carries himself.
I love and admired him very much

At Isaiah 26:19, Jehovah promises: "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust!...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life."
Just as we all do, Jehovah too longs to see His friend Leroy reunited with his family and friends. Please take comfort in the these words that are shortly to be fulfilled.

Leroy was everything everyone says he was. A beautiful person inside and out and humble respectful and polite. We have really lost a young man with so much potential who took a stand for Jehovah and we know that Jehovah always rewards those who are loyal to him.

To hear about the passing of Leroy knocked the wind of of me. I couldn’t believe such a quite, sweet soul left us so soon. Nathalie, it won’t be easy but Jehovah is here to provide you with the power beyond what is normal. He will give you his strength to endure. It won’t be easy, and the days will be hard but I do promise that you are not alone. You have a spiritual family here to provide you with support. Continue to hold on to Jehovah and he will sustain you! Love you my sister!

His Life
April 19, 2021
It was a special Sunday, 29th August, 1999 when a baby boy named Leroy Bruno was born in New Providence, The Bahamas.  He was born under the loving gaze of his mother Nathalie Bruno and his father was Garry Saint-Fleurs.

As he grew Leroy attended Stephen Dillet Primary, followed by A.F. Adderley Junior High and finally Government High School (GHS) from which he graduated in 2016.  Leroy pursued additional education opportunities after graduation at Southam College and then the Bahamas Institute of Business & Technology.  For the last several years Leroy worked with a team he loved working with doing Window Cleaning services primarily at BahaMar.

Anyone and everyone who met Leroy couldn’t help but be impressed by his quiet, humble and respectful demeanor.  His mother raised him to be respectful and to keep to himself, but the gentleness, kindness and loving affection that he radiated poured out from deep inside.  Leroy adored his family.  If ever there lived a “Mama’s Boy” that was Leroy.  He was extremely affectionate with her, protective of her and attentive to her needs.  Leroy had a deep love for his younger brother Tyla and they spent endless hours together at home bonding, playing video games and rowing each other.  That loving affection extended to so many other family members including his Grand Father, Step Father, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Whether it was the with the teachers and administrators at his schools, his classmates, workmates, neighbors, and even with those he played many hours of basketball with, Leroy was the type of young man everyone wished the young men in their life could be like.

A major contributing factor to Leroy’s exemplary personality and attitude was his personal spirituality.  Leroy grew up attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and as he matured what he learned sank into his heart.  With much time spent reading and studying the bible as well as attending meetings he made the determination to dedicate his life to Jehovah and be baptized, which he did on 25th March, 2018.  His love for Jehovah, his spiritual brothers and sisters and for people in general moved him to actively preach and teach others about bible truths and the hope for the future.

On Saturday 10th April, 2021 while on a weekend getaway on Eleuthera, Leroy had a tragic accident and passed away.

Once A stranger, Forever a brother

April 21, 2021
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Leroy for 11 years. We both start junior high school together and from then we’ve connected on such a brotherly level. We stayed really close for those 3 years. We never had a falling out. We always had each other’s back. Yes we didn’t attend the same Senior high school but we manage to stay in touch as the years go on. It wasn’t until 2019 we met back up at Baha Mar where we both worked. Everyday we would walk pass and hail each other. Sometimes we would stop and talk for a few. Reflect back on the past. The last time we saw each other was Thursday April 8th, 2021. We walked passed and hailed each other not knowing that would be the last time. Leroy I miss you brother. I can’t wait to see you again!

There’s so many funny memories that come to mind when I think of Leroy because that’s the kind of guy he was, quiet on the surface but always looking for a laugh. But thinking of a time that made me respect Leroy was our first time doing bus witnessing. Leroy was a quiet person and would always tell you he’s shy in certain spaces, so seeing him be the first one in our group to take the initiative and actually preach on the bus was something that was honestly inspiring. While me and my other partner was trying to build up the courage, Leroy was already deep in a conversation about the Bible. It reminds me of even those times we were just hanging out having fun, sometimes among us guys we’ll have a deep conversation and Leroy’s faith and beliefs, even when just hanging out, was clear to see. Those memories make me realise, I know we’ll see him again.

Leroy the Baller

April 20, 2021
One of Leroy’s favorite past times was basketball. You always knew where Leroy was on Sunday evenings, he was out on the court. He always talked a big game but unlike most he certainly had the skills to back it up. Whenever we played, we were always amazed at his speed, court vision, and his surprisingly high vertical jumps. His quiet personality outside the court sometimes made you underestimate his skills (which in hindsight was more than likely intentional) , until he started playing. From you see him come on the basketball court put up his one fingerand say “my boy” you know he meant business . He will truly be missed
