LeRoy P Hampton passed away peacefully with his wife Tricia and his son Royce by his side on January 25th, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital ICU from Covid pneumonia, he had a stroke and was paralyzed on his left side. He was born September 12th,1959 to Leland and Lois Hampton in Lehi. He graduated from American Fork High school in 1978.

After he graduated he went to work for General Refractories where he worked for 30 years before he became a Sales Rep for Remington Arms and then was hired for Maschmedt & Associates on January 2nd, 2018 until present.

Roy married Vicky Southwick September 1980 and they had a beautiful baby boy they named Royce. They were later divorced in 1984. Roy married Patricia Nicholes on August 29th,1988 they bought his grandparents home in Lehi where his mother grew up and was happily married for 33 years. Roy & Tricia dated for two years before they got married Plus they went to school together through 7th-12th grades.

Tricia had two sons Don and Jeff and together they took their sons camping fishing hunting 4wheeling, shooting archery and guns anything in the outdoors they loved as a family. Roy and Tricia were avid archery shooters they traveled around to many tournaments and 3D shoots they won many trophies plaques medals. They were members of the Timpanogos Archery Club up Provo Canyon. Roy was the president for three years and Tricia was the secretary/treasurer for three years.

As the boys were growing up Roy coached them in baseball at the Lehi City baseball fields and then as an assistant helped coach Royce at the Lehi High School. He loved baseball and loved coaching his boys.

Roy is survived by his wife, his son Royce Hampton, his brother Guy (Roz) Hampton and 6 grandchildren Will, Kenzie, Stetson, Gracie, Hank, and Jaxson. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Scott, sons Don Hampton and Jeff Hampton.

Due to Covid no formal service was held. A celebration of life was held this July at the Timpanogas Archery range for Roy. I felt Roy’s presence there with us’ I miss you hun♥️

He was born September 12,1959 to Leland & Lois Hampton grew up in American Fork, Ut graduated from HS started working immediately at General Refractories where he worked for 30 years!! That’s dedication. He made the change went to work for Remington arms as a sales representative He was good at it. Met new friends got to travel came home to us living his best life. Roy loved taking the Llewelyn setter girls out chukar hunting Panda was a special bird dog she was a natural. 
We bred her she had 6 pups we kept the female Sadie, Roy wanted one more so we bought Zella Jo unfortunately she only got to go hunting with him one time.

Roy grew up playing baseball & football he went hunting camping & fishing!
When we got married we went on a hunting honeymoon, We had 3 boys Roy coached them in baseball We also took them hunting camping anything outdoors we loved as a family! 
Roy also taught his boys to work hard and take pride in what you do.
Roy had a cool nickname The Rat’ he called me The Wom or woman some people took it wrong but not me I loved it! He would carve our nicknames in the mountain trees

He loved all his family we was number one and most important in his life.
Roy had many friends he went hunting and shooting with or worked with and he loved everyone! 
We all miss you hun’ Our hearts are broken it’s hard to know how to move forward but I know your by my side guiding me You are my guardian Angel
