No words I write could ever say how sad and empty I feel today.
I can still remember how brave you were, having to undergo your brain tumor operation at such a young age at Miami Children’s Hospital as I stood at your bedside together with your mom.  I also remembered you volunteering, without hesitation, to stay with your loving great-grandmother, Ma, at home in Atlanta Georgia while I was at work.  These are just a few of the many memories that will forever remain with me.  I will miss you dearly, but God saw it best to call you to rest from your life here on earth until He returns.  I pray we will meet again.

THE BROKEN CORD

January 22, 2013

The broken cord

We little knew that morning that God
Was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same;
But as God calls us, one by one,
The Chain will link again.
