i have known les for the last 6 years as he was a customer where i worked i served every day until i one year later in 2008 when les came into my work place and asked me out and he turned up with a bouquet from roses for me and i agreed on a date and since then we came inseparateable and neither of us looked back it it was the most happiest 5 years together we had, we both knew it was love at first sight, we got engaged a year later,les was the most kind,loving man he was and had a heart of gold, we waited on me hand and foot everyday, brought me lunch and love letters to me every day at work, cooked me meals, and treat me like a queen that what a sort of guy i fell in love with until the day he died, my life ended cos he was the love of my life he was my best friend,lover, soul mate and the person i really idolised.i will miss him terribly and my heart aches for him xx love you and miss you xx mandy xxx

on the 1st of april 1955 les was born in greenbank hospital and was brought up as a kid on the firthmoor estate in darlington, les had a older brother called ron and a sister called elaine known to him as mex, he attened eastbourne school and left at 16 and he got himself a apprenticeship and attended college and became a manager for the rolling mills untill he got mad redundant, he loved his family his mam beryl and dad gerry and adored his family.les loved his passion for football who he supported man city all his life, and also he loved his nights dancing at the northern soul nights, but he like a couple of drinks at night.
