ForeverMissed

Lesley left behind her loving husband Peter, her three daughters Anna, Judy and Sarah, and her six grandchildren.

A life-long traveller, Lesley had family and friends all over the globe. She would be delighted to think of us all raising our glasses in her honour. So please, top up your drink, make a toast, and feel free to share a memory or a story. We would all love to read them.

We will be lighting a candle today in memory. Daffodils were a favourite of mum, and at this time of year, here in Victoria, they are popping up everywhere. I love that nature will remind me of her every year.

A dear friend in Perth Australia for over 30 years - we shared laughs and tears, good times and bad.  She loved her Newfoundland dogs and made many friends in the dog park.  Always good company, happy and smiling, even in the bad times.  She is much missed.

A dear Cousin, known you all my life. You came to our Wedding, expecting Anna. We then lost touch but found each other again when Keith & I Visited Perth in 1998. Lesley & Geoff made us so welcome. We never stopped talking and laughed together so much. We never lost touch again. Lesley came to visit us in England a number of times and Geoff would join us after his 'Beaulieu' visits.

In between those great days together we spoke regularly on the phone. One such joyful call was to tell me that she had met Peter. She was on cloud 9 and full of happiness once again after losing Geoff & her Mum, Rosie - my aunty.

Keith my hubby, always made a special batch of home made wine for Lesley's visit, which he will sadly miss doing for you. The last time we were together for my Mum's funeral back in August 2017, we had a lovely cousin reunion - five us had not been together since 1985. A treasured photo of that occasion is on this memorial site.

Just cannot believe Lesley you have left us. Immense loss to Peter and your girls. We are still in shock here in England. We will always keep you close.

I will miss my friend, Lesley. I met Lesley when I was 24, she was restarting her career as an X ray technologist and was hired by our company. Lesley was older and much more sophisticated than I was! She always included me with her social outings, we had a lot of fun in our younger days.

Eventually Lesley moved to the mainland and then on to Australia!
She was very good at staying in touch and always looked me up when she was in Victoria to see her girls, we would get together a few times while she was here.

On one of Lesley's visits, I met her mum Rosie, we had a wonderful walk around the Butchart's Gardens, I was amazed that both of these ladies knew the names of every flower we came upon! Rosie came with Lesley a second time and I had the honor of visiting with her again.

Lesley was so full of energy and fun, she was always a bright light. So full of life!  In the nearly 40 years that we were friends, not a harsh word was spoken.  We shared lots of laughs and a few cries as well.

I was thrilled to stand up for Lesley and Peter when they were married. I was
overjoyed to see how happy Lesley was they married. She had met her match in Pete, they were great together.

When I think back at all of our years as friends, the one thing that strikes me the most is how much she loved he girls and how proud she was of them.

Gone but never forgotten my friend!

Lesley! What a bright soul. She lived life to the full. Loved making new friends & brought joy to many. My sister, Elizabeth< who was also a friend, said she was honoured that she had been loved more than once in her life. This is also true of Lesley. What an inspiration to us all that in the twilight of her years, she is still so full of life to meet the final love of her life Peter while cruising to Australia. Although their time together was brief she found so much joy in their life together. I was privileged to call her a friend. I will miss your visits my friend. May your Star shine forever bright in the heavens. My heart goes out to Peter and all her children <3
