I will miss my friend, Lesley. I met Lesley when I was 24, she was restarting her career as an X ray technologist and was hired by our company. Lesley was older and much more sophisticated than I was! She always included me with her social outings, we had a lot of fun in our younger days.
Eventually Lesley moved to the mainland and then on to Australia!
She was very good at staying in touch and always looked me up when she was in Victoria to see her girls, we would get together a few times while she was here.
On one of Lesley's visits, I met her mum Rosie, we had a wonderful walk around the Butchart's Gardens, I was amazed that both of these ladies knew the names of every flower we came upon! Rosie came with Lesley a second time and I had the honor of visiting with her again.
Lesley was so full of energy and fun, she was always a bright light. So full of life! In the nearly 40 years that we were friends, not a harsh word was spoken. We shared lots of laughs and a few cries as well.
I was thrilled to stand up for Lesley and Peter when they were married. I was
overjoyed to see how happy Lesley was they married. She had met her match in Pete, they were great together.
When I think back at all of our years as friends, the one thing that strikes me the most is how much she loved he girls and how proud she was of them.
Gone but never forgotten my friend!
