This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Leslie Pierce, 79 years old, born on March 11, 1942, and passed away on May 19, 2021. We will remember him forever.

Leslie Francis Pierce jr., age 79, of Coos Bay, Oregon, passed away Wednesday morning, May 19th, 2021 at his residence.

He is survived by his five daughters, Shamara Pierce Flora, Cinden Pierce, Cora Pierce, Leslie Pierce, and Wendy Bradford. Grandchildren are Kaileen Flora, Kesia Flora, Taylin Pierce, Sara Nulph, Dakota Pierce, Ana Jimenez, Alyssa Rada, Ryder Pierce, Sarah Ames-Guyer, and Jeorge Smith. Also survived by Casey Braun, longtime partner of grandchild, Kaileen Flora. Layla Stover, fiancé of grandchild, Taylin Pierce, and Hunter McAllister, fiancé of grandchild, Sara Nulph.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Pierce, as well as his son in law, Michael Joseph Leroy Flora.

Les was a man of extreme passion, charisma, and drive. He was not the type to settle into one set role and therefore was able to experience many different professions in life. Leslie was an ambulance driver, had worked with law enforcement, held several positions in the auto industry over a span of 32 years, which varied from mechanics to working on the restructuring and rebranding of car dealerships, and was even president of the Twain Harte School Board. He was a community and educational advocate for Tuolumne County and helped organize and conduct charity drives, book fairs, fundraisers, and even held BBQs for the schools within the district.

Les was the voice for the children in the community that had either lost their own or had not yet found it themselves. He was always willing to go to bat to ensure our playgrounds were safe, policies were followed, and children left school happy and with food in their tummies. He also took great pride in his Native Heritage and passed on that pride by being a senior counselor at the MACT Summer Camp.

Although at times Les was managing many of these endeavors simultaneously, he never got overwhelmed because Darlene, his high school sweetheart and wife, was by his side every step of the way, helping and taking part.

For hobbies, Les loved bowling, hunting, fishing, and racing cars. He was also a member of E. Clampus Vitus Matuca chapter. He moved to Coos Bay, Oregon, for retirement and as time went on, was blessed with many beautiful great-grandchildren; Taylin Pierce Jr, Atlas Pierce, River McAllister, Joel Jimenez, Analeah Jimenez, Estrella Rada, Azeriah Acasia Rada, and Aiyanna Acasia.
