Hi Lolo, good morning! The view must be so beautiful from up there ☺️ The other day I was sitting across the Opera house, when a busker started singing Send in The Clowns. And it felt like we were sitting on that harbour together. And weeks before that while I was tired and my flight was delayed in Indonesia, a violinist started playing My Way and it immediately comforted me. Thank you Lolo for making me feel your presence through song! We’re all fine here, love you and can’t wait to hear you again soon

Dad! We played a beautiful video of your memories, as you know…lovingly made by Ibet, “Memories”. I’m sure you enjoyed it! We also played your favorite Blowin’ in the Wind! First time ko malaman yun sa Reina Cimiento pa! You always sang it sa weekend using the small PC songhits while nakahiga sa kuchon nyo sa floor! Happy 17th month in heaven Dad! You must be very busy with non-stop celebrations and heavenly joy.

Thank you for visiting me in my dreams in time for Liezel's and Mama's birthdays. 

A day before Liezel's birthday, my dream was you visited us from beyond and we all gathered around you to hear yout stories. You had your wheelchair and cane with you. You also brought an alalay and Uncle Dan! We were all seated on the floor waiting for your stories while mama was standing next to you. Uncle Dan was standing by the windows while your alalay was preparing your audio as you were about to sing 'Thank you for the Music' This prompted us to do a quick birthday video for Liezel. This also reminded us that it is Uncle Dan's birthday soon.

Unfortunately, I can't recall my dream when you visited a day before mama's birthday. I lost the memory as I went back to sleep then. From the little that I recall, it was daytime and you were walking with mama. You were both looking young. You had a blue checkered polo and would have been in your 40s or 50s.

No one can ever beat your thoughtfulness on birthdays, Dad. You always remember everyone's birthday. Even now, you are still trying to send messages of greetings from heaven. 

We are now busy planning Levi and Darren's wedding. We stopped by a garden during an occular venue visit because it was full of your favorite blue hydrangeas! We know that you are very happy for Levi and that you will be with us on her special day. You will be walking her down the aisle dad! No more 'rolling' - as you would always say.

I gave your gray RL Polo hoodie to Tibs. Please continue to inspire him with his hemo sessions.

Nikki is enjoying her 'surgery' sessions. She will start her ICU assignments next week. We will soon have a doctor in the family Dad!

Happy all soul's day! I know in my heart that you are very happy now in heaven, celebrating the Lord, with other family members and friends.

Dak, I feel like you visited me today in our bathroom. Right after I showered, I looked at my phone and started reading the message from Mench that said:

Jesus, dear Savior, on this day we payerfully remember all our loved ones who have died."

Before I finished reading the whole message, I suddenly felt like somebody walked by me and hit me on my shoulder. Startled and out of instinct, I looked over my shoulder to see who it was (of course I was alone). I looked at my towel draped over my shoulder but thought it can't be just my towel because it was too strong of a force. I suddenly thought of you and believed that you came by to visit me.

We miss you so much Dak. Remembering you everyday especially today. Lighting a candle for you. Labyu so much Dak!!!

Happy 14th month in heaven yesterday, Dad. I got locked out of my account yesterday but we all remembered.

It was also your bilas' 10th birthday in heaven recently. The celebrations there must be endless.

Thank you for visiting in my dreams last night on your 1st anniversary in heaven. Just seeing you “alive” - eating at a grocery store gave me comfort and a smile on my face!

It still pains me recollecting the happenings of that day, Aug 28, 2020. The only comfort is the knowledge that the Lord prepared you for it. That it was the day of your appointment. Sister Tina’s message, Pastor Sarah’s farewell, Joshua 1:9, seeing the Pastor Sarah who blew kisses...all of those comfort me whenever I feel sad and disturbed about your demise.

For the past year we are thankful that you’ve been praying for us. You have visited us all numerous times in our dreams. You have never forgotten us- and we will never forget you Dad!

A feather for you Dad.

Just how it was depicted in 'Forrest Gump' life is fleeting and it can carry us to wherever it will lead us - through all the ups and downs. Until it is led to land back home. Home will always be with our Lord. Our Creator.

In a few minutes it will be exactly a year since I woke to that call from Grace. We can hear the hospital's 'Code Blue' in the background. It felt like yesterday still when we all bid you goodbye from a video call. We were helplessly far, but we were with you, Dad. All of us. And with that, we will be forever thankful.

For the first time and as I had always planned, I went to sleep with your scarf to mark this special occasion. It is always well kept to prolong it's 'Eugene' scent. 

I always thank the Lord for having you as my father on earth.

We especially remember you on this day and celebrate the wonderful and brave life that you led.

When it's our feather's time to land back home, we will have our big reunion. Til we meet again, Dad.

As I lit you another incense today, I'm thinking how I was able to keep my promise of lighting one for you each day until, at least, your first year anniversary. I can't believe it will be a year tomorrow and it still feels like yesterday.

Today, we will have our last weekly novena. When we completed the novena last year, we carried on doing it on a weekly basis. But it was more for our comfort and support for each other as we know that you are very happy and finally home with the Lord. Your happiness is something we can only imagine for now.

It's almost your 1 year anniversary and a few days ago I shared with friends how painful it was to be away from you last year. It's still painful now. I will be preparing a short lecture chronic kidney disease management for my colleagues in a few weeks, and I wanted to dedicate it to you. You faced so much with such strength.
