His Life

He was 56 years of age. A native of Cusseta, Mr. Spivey was the son of the late Lucious Spivey and Eva Love Spivey Williams. He attended Baker High School in Columbus and had received an Associate degree from Columbus Technical College. He has served the Chattahoochee County School system for over 30 years, having retired as Director of Transportation and Food Services. He was a member of Friendship AME Church in Cusseta where he served with the Choir. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Latasha Meadows Spivey, and two siblings, Belinda Barrow and Essie Jowers.

Survivors include: his wife of 35 years, Mrs. Linda Meadows Spivey; three sons, Lucious L. Spivey, Marquis Spivey (Jennifer) and Maurice Spivey; twelve grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Brown, Annie Hall and Alfreda Walker (Joseph); a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
