     Lillian Hite Wells, 93, a resident of Brantwood Nursing Center and a former resident of Lessie Lane died Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
 
     A native of Lunenburg County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Julous and Lenora Turner Hite. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired as a Health Care Technician at Murdoch Center.
 
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Floyd Jackson. Burial will be in Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Buffalo Junction, VA.
 
     Surviving are two daughters, Shelby Pugh Riley (Roy) of Oxford, Peggy Pugh McCaw (Gerald) of Bonafay, Florida, a son, Julous Preston Pugh (Patricia) of Oxford, four sisters, Mary Ann Bush of South Hill, Virginia, Virginia H. Gee of Kimbridge, Virginia, Beulah H. Heath of Oxford, Katherine H. Hite of Clarksville, Virginia, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Pugh, a sister Marion Lee Wells, three brothers, Theodore, Algie and Edward Hite, and a grandson, James Henry Pugh.
 
   Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to Concord Baptist Church, PO Box 237, Stem, North Carolina 27581.
 
   Visitation 12:30-2:00 PM Friday prior to the funeral services at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other time at 4003 Lessie Lane, Oxford, NC 27565.
