Love and miss you dearly GRANDMOTHER. You are still the LIGHT in my life. There are many nights I cry because you was not only my grandmother but a true friend indeed.

Auntie Lillie Mae was a women of dignity and great character, and I love her dearly.  She worked hard and did wonders with what she had.  She was a woman who always had a beautiful smile and a kind word.  We never wanted to celebrate any occasion as a family without her being there; it was just not the same without her joyful spirit and her unique laugh.  You could not help but feel happy and gay anytime you were in her presence.

Some people thought she and her sister (Evelyn) were twins, and they would really make it look that way when they dressed alike.

I will truly miss my auntie, but I know that she is now in a better place, where there is no more sickness and no more pain.  And I look forward to seeing here again, when we all get to heaven.
