Lillie Belle Denny Tingen, 91, a longtime resident of the Goshen Community, passed away Sunday, July 24th 2011 at Brantwood Nursing Center.

A native of Person County, the widow of Stanley J. Tingen and the late Arthur and Carrie Sherman Denny. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26th at Sharon Baptist Church by Rev. Vernon Wilkerson, Rev. Billy Lynch and Rev. Bob Baynard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Tingen Chandler, Mary Ann Adcock and Joan Marie Tingen, all of Oxford, three sons, George S. Tingen of Roxboro, Arthur Ray Tingen and Robert “Sam” Tingen, both of Oxford, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by all her siblings and three grandsons, Terry Allen Tingen, David Wayne Bennett and Arthur Ray Tingen Jr.

Visitation 10:00 -11:00 Tuesday, July 26th prior to the church service at Sharon Baptist Church and at other times at 584 Baxter Huff Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
