Dear Linda. You are dearly missed here by so many. I wish I'd been here during your last days on earth, just to sit beside you and hold your hand and touch you. When I left in April I didn't think you would go away so soon. And this year, when Rich left to follow you, again I wished I"d been here to visit with him. I'm looking at your pictures. They show a happy life here in Florida and I feel so good about that. I also find comfort in knowing you two are back together and are with Dad and Grandma and Grandpa and all the family that left before you. We are cleaning out the house and helping Karla with what we can. I love you sis! You were so loving and kind and sweet to all of us. We will meet again. Hugs

Your dear friends have gathered together magically and have taken care of Maxie and have made sure he is in a good, safe, loving home. I talked to the people who have adopted him and they said Maxie is getting quite used to his new home. I'm glad he was able to be with Rich up until the end. I know both of you loved him.

Linda wasn't just a friend she was a 5 star friend. She had the gift of loving and giving. If you needed a shoulder Linda was there. If you wanted to laugh you could paint the town red with her. If you needed to cry or a hand to hold, Linda made herself available for comfort and support. Day or night, Linda was the one you called when you just wanted to hear a comforting voice.. or chat about anything and everything.

Her legacy should include being a rescuer as well. Her love of animals, nature, all Gods creatures, and the salvation of our planet were passions that Linda held dear. She believed in seeing the beauty in others. Her amazing patience, steady, even temperament, and outstanding kindness and generosity were hallmark features of Linda's personality of how she led her life. I believe that every friend that she had was very important and special to her. She was pure of heart and spirit. She was and will always be a beautiful person that I believe God will hold in his sanctuary forever.. where she will be surrounded by the beauty of nature, God's creatures and everlasting peaceful bliss...reunited with her loved ones.. her cats and her family and friends waiting for her there.

Life will never be the same without her.... Never. Linda I say this to you out loud as I type this.. you are loved now and forever, cherished and remembered, painfully leaving a huge emptiness without you here on this earth. You made your mark on everyone you've ever touched in a stunning way and I will always feel honored and rewarded that you called me your friend. With all the unique souls that have crossed my path in life, your mark on mine will be forever, intensely missed. My heart is broken..

Love you always and peace in heaven, Beth

I may not have known Linda Ann Grimm personally but by what my dear friend Beth has said about her I wish I would've gotten to know her. She sounded like a wonderful person indeed and a caring one. May she rest in peace and be remembered.

Linda's Obituary in Regina

January 11, 2017
Linda Ann Grimm (nee Wingert)

Linda was born on June 19, 1948 in Lampman, Saskatchewan. She was the third of five daughters born to John and Adeline Wingert. The Wingert family moved to Regina in 1952, where Linda completed her education. She married Richard Grimm in 1967 and they relocated to Miami, Florida. Linda worked at many different locations throughout south and central Florida. Much of Linda's life was dedicated to rescuing and raising her cats, along with keeping the local raccoons fed. She loved animals and often said she would like to open an animal rescue shelter. It was Linda's final wish that she spend her last days in her own home. She passed away on May 27, 2014 with her devoted husband by her side, after a lengthy illness. Thank you to the hospice staff in Florida who made this possible for her. Linda was predeceased by her father John in 1997 and brother-in-law Ron Strand in 2008. Linda leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Richard; her mother Adeline; sisters Marianne (Bill) Fowler, Sharon Strand, Beverly (Richard) Lobe and Anna Marie Wingert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Upon Linda's request, no Funeral Service will be held. Cremation has taken place in Florida. A Mass will be held in Linda's honour. Thank you for all the kind words and acts of sympathy over the past week. We all appreciate this more than you know. Family and friends are invited to sign the online memorial at Legacy.com. To honor Linda's memory, please do an act of kindness for another.
