her Life

My Grandma was born in May the 29 of 1943 to Clarence Brown and Frances Mary! She has two brother Jerry Gibson and Bill Brown. In her life she was married a few times and had two children. David Lee Schaeffer Jr (whom is my father) and also Randal Dale Schaeffer.

She had one grandchild Maryann Marie Fitzgerald (Schaeffer) and two great-grandchildren BreAnna Marie Schaeffer and Zachary David Earle. Over the years grandma adopted other great-grandchildren Brayden Tyler Bratcher, Jayden Austin Bratcher Jacklynn Kaye Wright and Melanie Leeann Earle!!

My Grandma had a lot of dogs over the years but the ones I can remember are Tinker, Tiny, Taco, Toby, ChiChi, Josie, Sassy and Tiffany and a cat name Kitty (My dad name Pepper)!!

What I remember she worked at Gibbs Die Casting for years!! After she retired she went to Ameriquel and worked there about 4 years. She also worked at St. Mary’s which is now known as St. Vincent passing out food trays. Then she stayed at Walmart until she wasn’t able to work anymore. I believe she put in 7 years there! She had to stop working two years ago and that broke my grandma heart!

Grandma didn’t know how to depend on other! She had always been such a hard worker that when she couldn’t work no longer she went into a deep depression and she didn’t know how to deal with life anymore since working was all she really knew! I believe this is when grandma health started getting worst!!

My grandma lived at Braun’s Nursing Home in Feb of 2018. There was days she was happy there and then there was some day she hated it!! But they had Bingo days there and she LOVED bingo!!! My grandma had a lot of health issues that had her in and out of the hospital constantly over the past year!

The last 25 days she spent at St. Vincent! They did everything they could to meet all of my grandma wishes! When the time was near they made sure they followed out those wishes and made her comfortable as possible and I’m very thankful for the staff at St. Vincent!!

My grandma was no saint but she was an amazing woman! Out of 36 years of knowing her I couldn’t ask god for anyone else! She stood by us all no matter if we was right or wrong. She worked so hard to make sure we all had what we needed and wanted!

Even after being retired from Gibbs Die Casting she still didn’t stop! She went on to Ameriquel, St.Mary’s and Walmart for years too!! She was a hard worker! She loved us very much and her dogs too! I’m very grateful she was my grandma and my children great-grandma!!

I know she wanted to make sure we all could go on without her after she passed! We all told her we could but we never imagine it be this hard! I still have her number programmed in my phone with her picture! I look at it everyday wondering when she is going to call me! I wish we could’ve done more things together but your time here was done and I’m sorry for that grandma!!

You will forever be in our heart! You will forever be remembered and loved! I’m sorry you suffered as long as you did in this world but I know you was scared to let go!! You’re now in a better place looking down on all of us and I hope you’re smiling and happy! I love you Grandma!!
