Linda and I often went to retreats together, and this retreat was on Flathead Lake in Montana.  She insisted on a certain date to get there so we would have a little time to set up my traveling store.  Of course I gave in, we left her house at 6 am to begin the drive.  We made very few stops, because that was how Linda traveled, and arrived early all right --- we were a whole day early!  The really nice lady said since the lodge was not occupied, we were welcome to stay.  So after eating dinner, setting up our machines and the traveling store, we went to bed.  

You have to visualize this lodge --- it was made of huge lodge, and comfortably slept 20 people, and was a distance away from any other building.  I even jokingly made the comment that it felt like the hotel in Shining!  

Our room backed up to one of the parking lot.  I sleep with the window open, and we started off sleeping so well.  Then, about 1 am, there is someone out side yelling Knock, Knock!  There were two women, and they claimed that they were trying to get in to stay the night!  We were terrified, since we did not know anyone was coming.  

We asked why they were there, and they said that they were there for the Judy Niemeyer retreat.  It turns out they flew in from Tillamook Oregon, and came mistakenly a Day early!  Go figure, I cannot figure how they could have gotten the dates wrong --- :^)   We went to the front desk, asked for their names, and sure enough, there they were on the list.  So we got them a room and settled ba

Linda Helen Tellesbo, 64, a resident of Snohomish, WA, passed away in Seattle, WA on November 3, 2014. She was born in Mt. Vernon, WA on August 29, 1950 grew up on Fir Island, graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1968, attended Skagit Valley Junior College for two years and graduated from Central Washington with majors in business and art. She obtained her MBA from Seattle University.

Linda is the daughter of Alfred and Martha (Waltner) Tellesbo and is survived by her brother John Tellesbo of Florence, AZ, her sister Marsha Tellesbo-Kembel of Redmond, WA, two maternal aunts (Lucille Christianson and Anna King) and numerous cousins.

As a CPA, Linda worked for public companies until she retired when she was 52. At that time, she became very involved with quilting. She was a certified instructor for Judy Niemeyer Quilting, teaching at many quilt shops in the Northwest. She received many awards for her quilting; she was very involved and held offices in various quilting guilds.
