Linda Kay Amaro 62,

Passed away peacefully at Melech Hospice House in Tampa. Linda was born in Chicago, Illinois. However, she resided most of her life in Tampa. She lost her battle to Cancer on July 16,2017.

Up to the day she passed she still continued to make jokes, smile and love life.She was definitely not a ‘quitter.’ She had one wish and if she was here she would pass it to the world

“Can’t we all just get along ?”

She was married to a loving husband Esteban for 27 years, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her two boys Jaime Martinez and Jose Luis Martinez Jr., 2 sisters Kim and Brenda, several nieces,nephews, 7 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren,1 aunt and many cousins. She made such an impact everywhere she went everyone grew to love her. There was many friends that was not family by blood, but truly considered Linda family. She leaves behind so many that were deeply touched by her kindness, sense of humor and generosity and spirit.She just had a way about her of making you smile when you were sad. She would never turn her back on someone in need, willing to help, even a stranger needing a home.

Heaven just became a better place when Linda arrived.

Oh Linda! Sure do miss you. Alot has happened since you went to heaven. I'm sure you are chatting with my mom, met my brother and are all hugged up with your husband.
When I went on here to make this post I seen 3 posts from April. What a kind and loving person. But I'm sure you know she is up there with you too. Hug yourself and hug my family and April. We love all of you. One day we will all be together. All of you please keep looking down on us and send prayers with love, protection and good vibes for our families. I love you and cherish the friendship we had !

Can’t believe it’s been a year already. I have to say your still missed by the people who know and love you whether it would be family or friends. I know your still doing the Macarena (probably spelt that one wrong lol) up in heaven and helping anyone who needs it. Continue to Rest In Peace beautiful lady. Love to you

Linda I didn't know you as well as others,but I have to agree with Pamela you were so full of life had a beautiful smile and what a genuine nice person. I'm sorry that your gone but we know your kicking up your heels up in heaven. May you watch over the ones you love and keep them safe. May you R. I. P now with no pain. You always asked about my children with sincerity and for that among other reasons I call you a friend. Rest beautiful lady you will be missed always

I'm met Linda probably about 8 years ago and she actually became my best friend she listen to my pains and fears and I listen to hers. She loves to laugh she loves to be happy and she love the smile and I love to see her smile. For me she was a joy to be around my fiance Jose and I love her hang with her we play bingo with her a few times she certainly made us laugh we shared ice cream with her she even cooked for us from the moment that I met her she had every holiday with us holidays won't be the same without her. Though we weren't by blood-related she certainly became part of my family and without doubt I'm so much going to miss talking to her and sharing my thoughts with her. Linda I know that you're up in heaven and you're with your husband your mother your father and I sure hope you're sharing a bowl of chili with my brother Michael give him a big hug and a kiss and tell him how much I love him and I miss him and one day we will be together and until then may you rest in peace and continue to watch down on your family and myself and bless us and I thank you for being a wonderful friend to me.

Us in the pool

Well let me tell you one day Linda and I decided to go in the pool everyone's probably seen the video on Facebook somehow I have to figure out how to attach it but we went in the pool had a great day and then we couldn't figure out how to get her out was it hilarious. We thought we were going to have to call nine-one-one but I had to pull some MacGyver skills and get a chair and put it in there and step by step we figured it out. I think she just orchestrated the whole thing cuz she wanted me to call the paramedics and have some good looking man trying hoister out but anyway we managed and we got it out got her out and then we laughed for about 2 or 3 years later about it if I'm able to figure out how to attach a video you guys will be able to see us chilling but I didn't record the the whole actual removal but it was fun and we laughed anyway God bless you Linda and I got the memory but anyway even if I don't have it on video I got it in my heart I love you and miss you.
