Linda Lee (Clary) Montgomery was born February 22, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Homer Victor Clary and Anne Maye Frei. She graduated South San Antonio High School in 1965. She married Herbert (Butch) Jones in 1966 and moved to his home state of Montana for a short time. Her second marriage was to Kenneth (Red) Montgomery in San Antonio, Texas in 1977. She divorced and left Texas to live in Montana again in 1987, and moved to North Dakota in 2000. She was very happy to return to Texas in 2009 to be closer to her brothers and sisters. Through the years she worked various jobs but she really loved the work she did with developmentally disabled young adults.

Linda is survived by her brothers John (Fran) of Hackettstown, NJ, Fred (Wanda) of Somerset, TX, and Charles (Rosa) Clary of Kyle, TX; her sisters Betty (Roy) Lynn of Poteet, TX, Merrilou (Marion) Smith of San Antonio, and Sherrie (Jerome) Sapp of Poteet, TX; her daughter Stacey (Charles) Smith of La Vernia, TX, and sons David Jones of San Antonio, Daron (Traci) Jones of Bismarck, ND, and Keith Montgomery of Bismarck, ND. She is also survived by 7 grandsons: Andrew, Jamie, Christopher, DJ, Deavan, David, and Stevie, and one granddaughter, Michaela. The family would also like to recognize Dorothy Willette Little, Heather Opheim, and Kerry Ness, as well as all the kids who called her mom over the years. She loved you all.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers-in-law Jerome, Roy, and Marion, her sister Bonnie Emajeanne Nobles as well as Bonnie's husband Dave Nobles, and her beloved infant son Kevin Dale Montgomery.

Services will be held at Somerset First Baptist Church, 19961 Somerset Road, Somerset, TX, February 8, 2014 at 11 am with lunch to follow.
