Birthdays

December 23, 2012

My mother would always call me up and sing Happy Birthday to me, and damn it was awful singing but a running joke in our family.  Me, my sister, mother and grandmother could not carry a tune if we wanted to.  It was a joke to see who could sing the worse ever year.  My sister would always win with the horrible singing.  You know I love you sis. . . .

Cooking

December 23, 2012

I always remmebering when I moved out on my own and I would have questions for my mother.  I would call and say "I have a question" and she would always respond with "I might have an answer."  I just miss hearing her voice and just taking to her.  This is the first holidays without her and it hurts so much.
