One year has passed but I know you have been with us through it all. So today instead of being sad, I will carry you with me and have enough fun for both of us and share it with everyone I see. I love you and miss you very much.

Say not in grief - she is no more.
But live in thankfulness that she was.

Truly thankful for knowing Linda - and for her boundless energy and enthusiasm. Her friendship will not be forgotten.

This is the first time I have been able to get the courage to click the link in my email to this memorial. I knew I would cry if I opened it, and I was right. But it is ok. I know Linda told us not to cry, but when people cry for you it means you are loved just that much. So she will have to forgive us. I can not believe how long it has been already, and it still does not feel real. Mother (Diana) and I talk about her all the time. She will live forever within all of us.

I love you and miss you so much Aunt Linda.

At the end of the end - It's the start of a journey to a much better place.

A much better place would have to be special.

No reason to cry, no need to be sad.

Love and miss you.

It's moms birthday. What a great day it was for the world when she arrived on this planet. It's been six months almost to the day since her passing. The frequency of the world is missing her vibrant personality and love for all her family and friends. I miss her every day. I miss her unconditional love. I miss her perfect imperfection. I miss sharing who Iam with her. However, on her birthday, I'm grateful for every minute I had , not to mention how lucky to be her son in the first place. We had a short and colorful life together. She was a gifted lover of music, very creative, and an artist. Her art also existed in her relationships. She created connections, she soothed our hearts and minds. My gift today is my unending love for you mom. Iam thankful you are at peace. I also hope there is a good gospel choir up there you can join in! Show'em mom Show'em! Loved singing with you, loved our talks, loved to watch you dance ,and in the darkest hours of our lives loved to witness you light up the room. Forever yours, your son, Eric
Happy Birthday Mom.

The time we shared together was so short but yet so full of all the things that envelope good friends. I can still hear Linda's laughter at the stories we often shared or the corny antics we would partake in. Linda was always concerned about others. A part of all of us she touched is lost in her passing. Thank you Linda for being a part of my life. I will always remember your touch.

Linda was such a great person! Her laugh I can hear always and it has been  a few years since we have been together. She wrote me a note that I have saved as it was at the birth of my son she told me "God picked you to be his mom"- .well Linda God picked you to come and be in his kingdom- I bet he needed more laughter. We will miss you- you left your mark and it was a great one! :)

They say good things come in small packages, and that was true of Linda Maki!
Linda packed a lot of vitality, enthusiasm, creativity and love into her life. It was a joy and privilege to be around her and share her happiness in expressing her talents. She left us too soon and will be greatly missed! My sympathy to Don and all her family.

We sang - LOUD (and most definitely off-key). And we laughed and laughed until our faces hurt. What a JOYFUL feeling. And Linda effortlessly gave that feeling to all her friends and family.  We were so blessed to have her in our lives. "People may forget what you did, and people may forget what you said, but they will NEVER FORGET how you made them feel." Maya Angelou

Linda was one of the sweetest, most beautiful and genuine people I've ever met. I've met some really great people over the years at Leo Burnett but Linda truly stands out.
Namaste Linder; you've always been an inspiration to me. I'll never forget you. Give a big hug to my little angel, Alex, for me.

The news of Linda's passing leaves me stunned and numb. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy to Don and Linda's family. It's the hardest thing in this life watching your life's partner fade. I will offer prayers for Don, Linda's mom, sister, and 2 wonderful sons that they may somehow find their way thru this horrific time. May Our Lord always hold LInda close and grant her peace.
