The Lord's Guardian Angel

June 6, 2012

I can't think of a more spiritual person I have ever met in my life than  Aunt Linda. Every time Uncle Joe and Aunt Linda came to New York to visit us, she always took the time to spend a night or 2 with my Mom, Joanne, Joe's sister.  We would get so excited to be with her.  She had the warmest heart and treated us so special. We could listen to her for hours, telling us all of her stories of her life with the Lord and how she has helped so many people. She also would talk about Uncle Joe, her children and grandchildren, who she loved and cherished so much.  She would pray  with my daughter Brittany who was seriously injured in a gymnastics accident. She gave Brittany a special healing cloth which she still sleeps with every night.  She would call me just to see how I was doing and to pray together.  She has prayed for my Aunt Cookie and Uncle Jimmy who both had cancer.  We believe she is the one who has healed Aunt Cookie and has kept Uncle Jimmy alive.  Aunt Linda's belief in the Lord was special and we knew it.  We thank the Lord for the wonderful memories that we will cherish forever of Aunt Linda, and giving us the joy of having her in our lives.  She was a beautiful person inside and out.  May she rest in peace with the Lord with eternal life.  We will miss you Aunt Linda and your beautiful smile.  She was truely the Lord's Guardian Angel.

Linda's calming presence

June 6, 2012
When my brother Robert Forsythe was so sick and battling his cancer a few years ago, Linda was one of the few people who helped him through his darkest days. She came to see him on more than one occasion just to pray with him, and oh what powerful, heartfelt prayers they were. She gave him a sense of peace. Linda also took the time to call my mom every week during Robert's illness to pray with her and she even stopped in the grocery store and held my mom's hands to pray and give her some comfort. This was her legacy and I have heard this same story from so many others that she touched in this way. Her life was truly remarkable and her mission to carry out the will of the Lord in her life was evidenced in every word she uttered and in every life she touched. My family will always be grateful for her reassuring words during a very sad time, and I pray the stories and words of others to you will bring a sense of peace and comfort to your family. God bless you all. Shelia Forsythe Butts
