Linda was received peacefully by God on November 25, 2014, after a stay at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mervin D. Mason of Punta Gorda, FL; his daughter and her husband Amy & Robert Wimpfheimer of PA. Linda was predeceased by her parents; Stanley W. Bishop and Ruth J. (Olsen) Bishop of Waltham, MA.

Mervin and Linda were married in West Hartford, CT on, August 18, 1984. They made their home in Suffield, CT for many years. Both were nurses for the Connecticut Department of Corrections, from which they both retired and moved to their favorite vacation spot of Hattaras, NC and finally settled down in Punta Gorda, FL.

Linda was active in tennis, skiing and sailing when she was younger. Her heart was open to any animal, dogs especially. She spent many years creating and giving crafts. She enjoyed designing and making jewelry, weaving rugs and baskets, creating gourmet meals, gardening and flowers of all kinds, and of course walking the beach to find the perfect shell. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross.
