Celebrating the life of Linda

Celebration of Life:
This page was created in memory of our loved one, Linda Cripps. She went to walk in the garden on March 2, 2017. She is gone too soon. We will remember her forever.

She loved God, reading, journaling, and a cup of hot tea. Her days were spent gardening, walking, and looking forward to time with her children and grandchildren. She eagerly anticpated her peaceful, refreshing trips to Lake Michigan. Her roots were in the Northern state of Michigan.

Linda loved making everything meaningful. Helping people was her heart. Her life's mission was to grow spiritually, pour into others, impact her community, and remain in a posture of student - always stretching herself to improve.

Linda is survived by Val Cripps and their children Jason & Shannon, her son-in-law Kyle Boyd and their children Draye, Charlie, Autumn and Finley. She is also survived by her mother Doris Ellie Pulver, her brother Brian Pulver, and nephews Josh, Levi, Nick, Evan, as well as many others extended family members and loved ones.

She is being welcomed by her father Daryle, her Aunt Pat and Father Cripps.

Linda completely changed my life. When going through divorce and challenging kids she taught me and encouraged me to be the woman I am today. Her way of getting my youngest son to talk to her was to have the go-cart ready to go! He would quickly do the talking so he could get to the riding! I stayed connected to Linda for over 18 years as we became friends and worked together in the changes of her ministry and business and recently updating her website. She was set to become a "Life Coach." Linda you were a blessing to me.

there isn't enough words to describe Linda or her impact on our family. She was a true God sent angel. She cared so deeply for each one of us. She would call, text, or email no matter what time or day it was. She made herself available to ensure people who needed her were comforted by her words of knowledge and wisdom. Our youngest daughter Kierstyn loved Ms. Linda and going to spend time with her each Wed. She truly will be missed. I keep reaching for my phone to text or email her. She just made herself available. There will never be another Ms. Linda. My heart aches for her family. God be with you praying for everyone. What a beautiful soul.

I'd like to share the same story I shared on Facebook: I’ve been very sad thinking of what my friends, Shannon Cripps Boyd & Jason Cripps are going through with the very unexpected loss of their mother, Linda Pulver Cripps. It’s always in times like this that memories flood your mind and make you appreciate the impact someone had on your life. A few specific instances I remember that really made an impression on me: Linda really didn’t like two of the shows I participated in as a teenager in theater. She let me know that my witness for Jesus was more important than my desire for ‘fame’ and acting roles. Interestingly now, one of the most important things I make sure I tell every screenwriting student I have is that there is power in their pen. And that their pen and words should never be responsible for encouraging someone to stumble or sin. That they should have a positive impact on others. It reminds me very much of Linda's advice to me back then. Another strong memory is when I had a rough year of depression, she wrote me a card of encouragement and included a school newspaper clipping that contained a poem about hope. One that was published by the school and written by me. Yes, she used my own advice to encourage me to have hope in life again. I spent countless days and nights at their home. She encouraged us to make videos and fake movies all the time. (And let’s admit sometimes wondered what on earth we were shooting!) She was so young at heart. She loved the friends her son and daughter hung out with. Acted as our coach and confidant and friend when we needed it and sometimes an additional parent. I’m sorry for her family and friends dealing with her sudden loss. We all know she’s celebrating with Jesus

My family (Galka) lived near Linda and her family years ago but I do remember her and her brother, Brian! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

An Angel Among Us

March 7, 2017

I have had the privilege of being a part of Walnut Grove Christian School for the past 10 years as a parent and through the school was honored to know Linda Cripps.  Everyone at the school – whether student or parent – knew Mrs. Cripps.  She was an intricate part of the school in many ways.  Whether is was helping out in the normal routine of the school day or an extracurricular activity such a volleyball or basketball, a school play or fund raiser, you could always count on her being there.  I cannot ever remember attending any event associated with the school, whether athletic or academic, that Mrs. Cripps was not in the front row cheering the team, presenting an award or applauding the accomplishments of the students.  She truly had the Father’s Heart in her approach to everyone she met by her gentle spirit and how she reflected the love of Christ in her love of life and love and care for the people God placed in her path each day.  I have been blessed and honored to have been one of the people on many occasions to receive her love and guidance for myself and my children.  Linda Cripps was a very special, compassionate, caring, wonderful, beautiful lady and shall be greatly missed by many.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family today and the days to come.
