Linda Gale Clayborne Ramsey, 57, a resident of 3568 Little Mountain Creek Road, Oxford, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.

A native of Granville County, the wife of Doug Ramsey and the daughter of the late William and Elsie Hughes Clayborne.  She was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. John Yount and Rev. Eddie Mauldin.  Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Surviving other than her husband are a son, David Lee Ramsey (Shannon) of Oxford, two sisters, Vickie Heath of Henderson, Darlene Kay Hendrick of Oxford, a brother, William Raymond Clayborne of Henderson and two grandchildren, Devin Lee and Carley Adele Ramsey.  She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Douglas Ramsey, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.
