Linda Samons Steele of Calera passed away at her home on Friday, February 28, 2020. Linda was employed by the City of Calera for 38 years. In her final days Linda was cared for by her personal care technician, Mrs. Deborah Jones as well as Southeast Hospice Care. Both Deborah and the Southeast Hospice team did a wonderful job in the care for Linda as well as keeping family closely informed. We cannot thank either enough for the love and care of our loved one.

Linda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles Steele of Calera. She is also survived by her two children, daughter Jolyn Hannah of Columbus, Ga; and son Clay Hannah of Calera. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Colby and Chloe. A sister, Barbara Brogden; step dad Raymond Seales of Calera; a niece Sarah Brogden; and a great nephew, Josiah Brogden.

Linda was preceded in death by her mom Icie Mae Seales and her father Otis Samons.

In leiu of flowers the family request you make a donation to St. Judes or Shriners hospital.

Funeral will be facilitated by Pastor Russell Jones.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 pm
