ForeverMissed

I want to thank all of her friends who shared her memorial at sea with me today, and with those who couldn't make it. It was beautiful only because you made it so. Thank you for attending and sharing your experiences of Anna with me and on her memorial site.

Anna Linx, 44, of Costa Mesa, passed away on February 3, 2014 from pancreatic cancer.  Our dearest friend and daughter was born on March 20, 1969, and proud of her Ukrainian heritage.  She acquired a Bachelorette of Arts in TV/Film, with a minor in Business at CSU Long Beach and earned Personal Trainer Certification (NCCPT) in June 2000.   Anna taught English in Berlin, Germany and Orange County (California) and registered several musical copyrights.  She played guitar and loved music.  Anna was a proud vegan and strongly advocated for the humane treatment of animals.  She is survived by her mother and several dear friends locally, nationally, and internationally.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Humane Association are suggested.

I met Anna in LA when we were both working in post production in the 90s. Although our lives took us in different directions we kept in touch. I was shocked and sadden at her passing and thank you for making this tribute. Today I remember the sweet, honest person Anna was.

Remembering Anna on the 45th Anniversary of her birth. Anna and I met at a performance for a musician I promoted years ago (2003?). She and I clicked as we shared the same love for the Earth and all its inhabitants. Anna was tireless in supporting animal welfare, spreading the news of injustices and sharing ways to be active in affecting change. Anna constantly sought to cultivate herself from the inside out and shared an amazing light with the world. Still so stunned in her passing. Love and Light to her friends and family.

She read HC Andersen, adored animals, strongly spoke against injustice, and experimented in musical styles. Dearest Anna, it was so wonderful to know your gentle nature. Thanks for everything you did for the world. RIP missed friend, I'll always keep you in my heart.

Known Anna since meeting @ a party in Hollywood, California, back around the time of the first Gulf War, when she wore her hair blonde. Helped her change apartments five times & cat sat, when she went to east to New Jersey, to help her mother move out here, after her father's passing, so, possibly am her longest known friend. She's a true searcher/individual in an age of followers. Quite committed in her love for animals & did even help friends who were not necessarily up to being helped. She was frustrated & disappointed by the way many things are, in this world, but her spirit was unbowed. She suffered the pain of a cracked pelvis as result a tire blow out on the freeway, a few years back, before living in Germany & was more recently, was dismayed @ the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, since she never indulged in processed food, cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol. Anna had a tough time, almost alone, @ the end of her abbreviated life. We know that life is not fair & stuff happens. Here, on Earth, she did not reach the fullest of her life ambitions, but she has always been true to herself & I wish & know that her spirit (software) is onward & upward, as her body (hardware) is discarded. E = mc2, the most famous equation of our times, means that Energy equals mass, times the speed of light, squared, or mass (material), & energy are equalities, that cannot be created, or destroyed, merely altered. Thus, I interpret/further extrapolate that our life force/spirit (software) does indeed have a greater journey than the mere observations of our inexact science. I am not religious, but the more we know, the more we know what we don't know. http://www.newsweek.com/proof-heaven-doctors-experience-afterlife-65327 (actually a neurosurgeon) Love & will always have Anna in thought & feelings. I will post in the story section, as well. Any friend of Anna's is a friend of mine & may contact me for any & all reasons. zandersport@hotmail.com

To the mother of Anna.....I was so touched by the beautiful write up on your daughter. She sounded like a wonderful person and I wish I could have known her. When I was going through experiencing a devastating loss I always found such comfort in a particular scripture in the psalms that says that "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted". May you find comfort at such a difficult time. Carrie

I never met Anna, we just spoke on the phone a few times and exchanged emails. Less than a year ago she reached out to me with some questions about health insurance. I knew she had some health problems. However, just now, when I learned that she is no longer with us, I found out about the grim diagnosis that she was dealing with. It is terrible that such a young beautiful intelligent woman's life was cut so short. However, the most amazing thing to me is that over this period of time, during about dozen phone conversations, she always sounded so positive, never complained, never seemed scared! My heart goes out to her family and friends. May she rest in peace, and may you be as strong and brave as she was.

Musical spirit

February 14, 2014

I played music a little bit with Anna in my earlier years living in Los Angeles.  She was a passionate but humble spirit and I always appreciated that about her.  Also I admired that she was very independent and didn't need anyone else's approval.  We lost touch over the years but reconnected online and I was so sorry to hear of her passing.  My thoughts are with her family and friends. I am thankful to have gotten to spend some time with her during her brief time here with us.

Rock & Roll

When Anna went to live in Germany, she let me borrow her guitar and books.  I was able to take lessons and get started learning.  I'm forever grateful!
