Lisa was born July 8, 1970 in Pender, NE to Eugene L. and Mary D. (Davis) Steinman. She attended and graduated from Emerson-Hubbard Public School in 1988. Lisa went on to receive Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Wayne State College. She further earned Special Education and Administrative endorsements. Lisa’s passion for teaching was reflected in her devotion to her students in both South Sioux City and Pender, NE. Lisa was an enthusiastic, lifelong learner, continuously striving to further her career.
Lisa married Jon J. Maise on July 28, 2001 in Sioux City, IA. A devoted wife and mother, “Momma Lisa” loved spending time with her family, attending her children’s many fine arts and athletic activities, family vacations and travel, and shopping with her two most favorite girls in the world, daughters Jordan and Addison. Fun-loving Lisa’s home was filled with warmth and laughter, where holidays, birthdays, graduations, engagements, and a loose tooth were celebrated with laughter and unbridled joy. Lisa was an enthusiastic fan of all things Husker. As an active member of the community and school, she was often found volunteering and sponsoring numerous events and activities. She delighted in her ever-growing collection of bright, sassy, flamingos.
