Mrs. Lois Allene Cowan, 77, of Lanett died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at George H.
Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley. A memorial service will be held at a later date
by her family to cherish her memory.
Mrs. Cowan leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Edgar Cowan Jr.; three children,
Patsy Whitley, Deborah Senn and Tony (Velinda) Cowan; nine grandchildren, Beverly
Tyler, Mike Burson, Stephanie Burson, Jessie Burson, Tonya Cowan, Ashley Senn,
Kyle Whitley and Neal Cowan; and nine great-grandchildren.
Born Dec. 21, 1933 in Tennessee, Mrs. Cowan was the daughter of the late Ruby Dyer
Rouse and the late Edgar Rouse. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
