Lonnie Wayne Currin, 71, a native of Granville County passed away Friday, August 05, 2016 at his home.
He was the son of the late Lonnie Irvin and Lois Riggan Currin. He was a member of Stovall Baptist Church and was chairman of the Deacon Board. He retired as a supervisor with the Department of Transportation after many years of service. He was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Stovall Baptist Church by Rev. Eddie Mauldin. Burial will be in Stovall Memorial Park.
Surviving is his wife of fifty years, Patricia P. Currin of the home, a brother Ronnie Currin and wife Elizabeth of Rolesville, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Greenway.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening August 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
