I used to spend summers in Ohio bouncing around from my grandparents house, to various aunts and uncles. Usually I spent quite a bit if time at Loretta's because I enjoyed hanging out with Jeremy and Jason. Loretta would take us to the park, or play games with us. They always had a ton of board games! Loretta and Bart were like a second set of parents. If the boys got something, so did I. If we got in trouble, I got in trouble too. But one of my favorite things about all that time, if I really needed to talk about something that I didn't want to talk to my parents about, I could talk to Aunt Red. She would be honest with her advice, free with her wisdom, and always understanding. Even years and years later, when I was grown and had kids of my own, I could always call her and talk to her about anything and everything. She would be honest with me. If I was making the wrong choices, she would let me know right off, and no sugar coating! But there were times I felt like just giving up and quitting; and she would tell me to pull my big girl panties up, stop being a fool, and fight! Quitting was not an option with her at all. Even if we didn't talk for months or even a year, I could call her up and it would be like we had never lost touch. Loretta was a truly cool individual to know, and I count myself blessed to be her niece. ❤

I haven't seen Loretta in many years but remember her very much. I use to live in the apartment above her and the family. We had some good times back then. I wish I lived back in Ohio so I could have visited her. She was a caring person and helped me out a few times. She will be missed very much by her family and sisters, brothers, cousins and more.
Rest In Peace my dear cousin.
