Today you have been gone 7 years. I think of you every day. The daffodils are blooming now and Lanny picks them for you often. We put them by your picture because you always loved them. Lanny would pick them and we would make a special trip to bring them to you. He loved you so much. We all miss you and still some days are hard to get through, but God gives us strength when we need it. I will see you again when God calls my name. I will be looking for you when I get there! Love you to heaven and back.❤

I still look for you to come through my door so we can play scrabble. I miss you so much. Some days are still worse then others, but oh how I love the memories. Can't wait to see you, dad and Mike again! Always,
Sis

Mom and dad met when dad went to pick up a prisoner in Kansas City. He was an MP in the army. Her friend talked her into going out with her that  night and dad happened to be at the same place. He said he knew that was who he was going to marry because he had seen her face in a cloud when he was a young boy working in the cotton fields. They were introduced and when he took the prisoner back to the base in Mississippi they wrote letters to each other until dad could save enough money to buy mom a bus ticket to Mississippi. They were married at a friends house after meeting only once and had been married for 67 years when mom died. Dad stayed in the army for 21 years and we went with him each time except for the year he was in Korea. We had two tours in Germany and most of the others were in the Southeast.
