one year anniversary
Today is the first anniversary since we lost one of the most wonderful and precious members of our family. My daughter, Lori Ann Rought Erlston Secord..
To say the least the past year has been one of anguish, pain and regrets.. Asking a million times, why, why, why?????
Time does not make it seem less painful. if anything I believe it is more intense. Not a moment goes by that a picture or a memory will come to me of Lori from the day she was born, until that last dreadful agonizing day when she left us all too soon.
Lori we love you and miss you more with each passing day. Your memory we hold close to our hearts, never will you be forgotten. As your Mother and keeper of all that is precious and sacred to me, my goal until I meet you in the heavenly skies is to never let you be forgotten, for this you can depend on. Many many millions of tears have flowed because living without you here is beyond understanding.
Somehow we have survived this poignant first year, only by the grace of God am I still alive. Your entire family has grieved in their own ways, sometimes not saying a word, but just the look in their eyes when your name is mentioned or a memory is shared.
Today is of rememberance and gratitude. We will honor you today with a family picnic and the release of many baloons being sent to you via the wind, clouds and each filled with love and messages just for you. As we gather together you will be spoken of in loving memories with many past memories making us both laugh and cry. For you my dearest daughter I am giving you all my love forever.. So proud to be your Mom...

Her grandmother (my mother) Eleanor Bailey Koup died March 25, 2005.
In 2011 I met a wonderful man, Scott Flory, we have been together since, and he has been by my side through this nigtmare. Him and Lori hit it off right from the start, she had no apprehensions about another man in her mothers life, she was happy for both of us. Her and Scott talked on the phone and joked around, he is also going through a very rough time while trying to comfort me.. Thank God he is my life for so many reasons, I love you Scott and also for loving my children as much as I do..
