Dear aunty Ariyo. You were a family person and made everyone you met in life feel loved. You cared so much for every member of your family (including the extended wing). You were always available to offer comfort to troubled ones, help to those in need and advice to the confused. Your beautiful soul has been called to rest by your Savior. I will miss your warmth, love, care, beautiful smile and motherly advice. Rest from your labors dear aunty. Sleep on in the Savior's loving arms. Until we meet in Heaven.

Aunty Lorna, you'll definitely be remembered forever, especially the wonderful and unique personality of yours. You were one of the few relatives that perfectly fit and substitute in any capacity as a very close family member. I had so many experiences with you whilst growing up in Freetown and even the few ones with you Ghana. I always appreciated the your hospitality to Gramma Eva and I, when we would pass by after church service at Buxton Church for a short chat. Your motivational messages of I should make Aunty Eva and Ayo proud at school would still be remembered. Rest In Perfect Peace

You will 4ever be missed indeed Ms Lorna as we use to call you. My husband and I were so blessed to have you and your husband in our lives as godparents on that life long journey we started 13 years ago. You'd always say and complement us with good words of kindness. We thank God for knowing and having you in our lives. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. To the entire family, the Holy Spirit will be your comforter now and always in Jesus name.

Sleep on, sleep on, my beautiful sister. Sleep and take your much desired rest. Your strife is over and you won the battle. You are immortal and fully restored in health and faith. You will for ever be remembered. The Lord always picks the best, and so you had to go and be with him. Be my guardian angel, my darling, and look down on me with your warmth and love. I miss you so much.
I'd like to share this old poem that I wrote, with you again sis....

With a conniving spirit
It shows its ugly soul,
Preying on innocent souls
Oblivious to its vile.
This thing called cancer
Its true form unknown,
Starks incognito, until its roar is heard.
Be not proud, for your sting is deep,
Be not proud, for your cut is deep,
Be not proud, for your victory is false.
You shall be conquered,
You shall be defeated!!!

Rest in peace my dear sweet sister. I love you!

Today marks 9 years since you answered the call sis. Today also marks 3,287 days of me, thinking of you multiple times, every single day since that fateful day. To date, no one has meant to me, what you meant, and continue to mean to me. We all pray to be granted entry into that heavenly mansion when our time comes, and I sure pray I find you there when my time comes. Hope heaven has been good to you, as you continue your heavenly rest sis. The grieving today isn’t any easier than it was nine years ago, even though my lips and heart smile a little more frequently and easily since then.
You are so loved and sorely missed by those you left behind.

Lorna, it’s been eight years since you transitioned to eternal glory, and my life has not been the same since then. I pray heaven is all we dream it to be, and that you’re resting in eternal peace, free from all earthly strife, sickness, pain, sadness, and disappointments. You are missed beyond measure, and I’m looking forward to seeing you again, to part no more.

Knack for remembering people

October 24, 2014

I have never know any human being that knows so many people. She would tell you where they met, when and even the circumstances related to the meeting. It gets even better with family members. She'll give you the whole family tree to the point you have to stop her and have her back up a little. The only other 2 people I know that has the same ability is our dad and his sister, mamma Clarice Wilson. Wished I was that good. My sister Leilah is not far behind. Rest in peace sis.
