His Life

Youth

February 23, 2023
Louis was the oldest of 5 children: sisters Kay and Annette and brothers, Tommy and Tony, who pre-deceased him.  He formed a close bond with his sister Kay, as she was closest in age. They were together in some of the same classes, went to dances, enjoyed music, and worked together in the family business.  He later became lifetime business partners with siblings Annette and Tommy.

Louis excelled at Fairfield prep boys high school. He then attended Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in psychology.

Career

February 25, 2023
Louis started working with his grandfather in the family fruit market at age 14. It was clear early on that he was a natural born salesman and that is what he enjoyed doing. The family decided to put a couple cars for sale next to the market, and that is how the Coppola automobile business started. Louis pursued his career at Coppola Ford in Mount Kisco, NY with his father and brothers.

Family Life

February 25, 2023
Louis met Madeline during college at Ohio State university.  They were married in Cambridge, Ohio on November 26, 1964.

They eventually settled in Danbury, Connecticut, as Lou found the perfect spot for he and Madeline to raise their children, Bryan and Lisa Andrea. They've been blessed with 3 grandchildren: Francis, Neil, and Sabryna.

The family remained in Danbury until Louis' death.
