Louis was the grandfather that I never knew since he was killed 19years before I was born.  I am the daughter of his surviving son, Ralph.  Other than my dad, he was survived by his wife, Mary, and his daughter, Frances.  Since Frances and her husband John Kennedy had no children, my brother, Ralph Jr. and I are the last direct descendants of Louis.  I often wondered what he was like.  My dad said he had a sense of humor, and played on a baseball team in Omaha.  I was told that he was killed in the Millard Hotel fire, and has since been honored by the city of Omaha.
