Louis W. Dittman
Hagerstown, MD
Louis William Dittmann, 83, passed peacefully from this life on June 15, 2016. He was born in Waynesboro and was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Linah Dittmann; and his son, Daryl Dittmann.
He is survived by his wife Wanda; and children, Debbie Henry, Doug Dittmann, Diane Johnson, Melissa Davy, Will Dittmann, Alycia Tafoya; his brother, Thomas R. Dittmann; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was an avionics engineer in flight testing for Fairchild-Hiller, Lockheed, Hughes helicopter, McDonnell Douglas, and retired from Boeing.
There was a private celebration of Lou's life on June 22, 2016, at his home in Hagerstown, Md
