I'll never forget our trip to Kentucky to see our Aunt Mary Lynn. They had pigs they were raising,and were going to put rings in their noses.  My uncle asked my mother to hold the pig around it's neck while he put the ring in. Mom straddled the pigs back and grabbed it around the neck.  The next thing we knew, the pig took off running with mom still straddled to his back and her hands around its neck. I remember hearing my uncle yelling let go Louise let go,but mom couldn't let go. Her fingers were entwined around the pigs neck, and she was scared to let go.  Finally the pig got tired and stopped running. We watched as mom sat upright on the ground crying. but the closer we got to her we realized she was laughihg.  Thank goodness she only had a couple of skinned knees and some muscle soreness. Lesson learned on how NOT to ring a pigs nose.
