ForeverMissed

In loving memory of our beloved Aunt & friend Louise L. Trick. Born August 20th, 1923 and who lived a life filled with travel, love, adventure and compassion. We will forever remember her grace, her laugh, her brilliance and creativity.  A natural nurturer of all living things.  She loved to garden and was proud of her mini jungle on her back patio of her condo.  She made any space feel welcoming and warm and had impeccable style.  Louise Trick, may you forever be remembered and live on by those who loved you and knew you.  And may you rest in eternal peace.

I remember when I was younger, my family and me, went to Florida and stayed with Aunt Louise. I wasn’t able to bring my stuffed animal and it was hard to sleep, so we got a tiny kit to make our own and everyone helped. I still have the stuffed animal and it is one of my favorite ones cause it reminds me of how much Aunt Louise and my parents love me. I loved Aunt Louise so much and I will miss her dearly.

A loving Aunt...independent, humorous, considerate, and spectacular human being. She will be missed but the indelible impressions she left on all of us will ensure that she is forever remembered. In memory and celebration of a wonderful life and spirit.

We will always love and miss you Aunt Louise. You were so special to all who knew you. Thank you for being a part of our lives for so long, no matter how far apart we were. I have so many fond memories of you, from the time I was a little girl in Richmond Hill, Queens NY then later on as a teenager then as an adult in Franklin Square, LI NY. All the Holidays and Sunday dinners with family, what a wonderful cook you were and how you always were impeccably dressed even if it was just a backyard barbecue! You sacrificed many years of your life caring for your Father, my Grandpa Trick who lived to be 101 years old! I always loved hearing of all your travels and always loved how well your home was decorated, no matter where it was through out the years. You were close with my Dad, who you referred to even recently as your “baby brother” which always made me giggle. When illness and aging prevented the two of you from visiting each other anymore, your frequent phone conversations always made my Dad happy. Bonds like that can never be broken and memories so cherished can not simply be forgotten. I know that you didn’t want a big deal when you passed away, but I also know you would love that we all have such happy and fond memories to share of you-such a strong-willed, funny, kind woman that you were. We will love you always and I know in my heart you are together up there reunited with the rest of the family. Rest peacefully Aunt Louise. Until we meet again. -Love, your niece Mary

Aunt Louise was a very special & important person in my life. She was strong-willed yet sweet, intelligent and talented with a deep sense of family. We’ve spent so many holidays & special events together in New York and Florida. Except for approximately 8 yrs. I was lucky enough to have her nearby. Growing up, there were so many Sunday dinners with Aunt Louise and Grandpa. I remember every time she took a cruise from N.Y. we were allowed on board for a “ bon voyage” party. Once, Kathy & I thought of hiding in the closet to join her but chickened out!
In later years, she had many health issues, surgeries & falls but always managed to pull through. She always looked stylish and kept a lovely home.
She enjoyed cooking & gardening which always gave us something to talk about. I will miss our conversations.
Tom & I and our children love her so much and will miss her greatly. We are grateful for this tribute. No one can “erase” the love, admiration and wonderful memories we have of this great lady!

Aunt Louise will be greatly missed by all that knew her. What a great loss to our family. I always admired her strength, resilience & independence. To me she is the definition of small but mighty. I think anyone who knew her would agree. My boyfriend would refer to Aunt Louise as “Aunt Cutie”. The nickname immediately stuck. She always looked so put-together!  I enjoyed visiting her at her lovely condo in Coral Springs with my Mom. Once I even cut her hair in her kitchen for her. She told us that it was the best haircut ever! I especially enjoyed hearing about all of her travels. She had been everywhere!  Aunt Louise was very inspiring to me. She told me that traveling is one of the best things you can ever do. I couldn’t agree more with what she said. We love you, Aunt Cutie! We will miss you dearly & won’t ever forget you. Rest peacefully.

Dear Aunt Louise! You were always the Lady! You lived life with grace, caring, sweet. You always had a story of world travel and you other adventures of living and working in NYC for 50+ years. Our journey together started over 50 years ago when your niece and namesake Louise Bruder Waas introduced me to the Trick Family. It was a wonderful experience. I remember us having the dish you like to serve, beef bourguignon at a little fold away dinner table that you had in your neatly decorated apartment. I also remember you moving in with us in Atlanta and our many trips including the Caribbean and Hawaii. And most of all, I remember you and Louise coming home with all the great finds from antique stores, yard sales and flea markets. I am sure the two of you have already connected and are planning your next adventures. Love you Aunt Louise ! RIP!

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing my Aunt Louise was a very fortunate individual. She was an amazing, compassionate, artistic, brilliant and all around fabulous woman. I always admired her strength, independence, humor and nurturing nature. Aunt Louise, my mom and I were always on adventures with each other. She was one of my heroes. So put together, the epitome of femininity. She was courageous and a world class traveler. Aunt Louise I will miss your grace, your smile, your laugh and your friendship. But I know whether in this life or the next we will always be together. May you Rest In Peace and your memories always treasured by those who knew you and loved you. Love your Grand Niece Jenny
