Mrs. Louise Moody Rhodes, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Hospice LaGrange.


Mrs. Rhodes was born June 12, 1915 to the late Mr. Doug and Mrs. Ether Moody. She was married to the late Mr. Henry Rhodes, Sr. and to this union five children was born. She joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health failed. She was President of the Usher Board. She was President of the Corinth Saving Club. She loved going to church.


She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Bennie Sr., Henry Jr. (Claudia), and Edie Roy; two daughters, Ida (Frank) Williams, and Fannie (Rev. Felton) James; seven grand children, Bennie Jr., Roy Lee, Ann, Linda, April, Tampa (Edwin), and Phelia; six great grand children, Tianna, Malcolm, Dantairus (Sherrick), Demetrius, Cornell, and Bailee; two great great grand children, Shamiya and Dantrevius; neices, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a special friend, Alice M. Freeman.


She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepmother, four sisters and three brothers.

2011-12-22 10:26:40Louise was my grandmother. I remember when I was little I would go over to her house and swing on that white swing that was in her yard. I remember when my brother would pick her up to take her to Sunday School each Sunday. I remember going to see her in the nursing home. I will miss you grandma.
