Louise Woodlief Honeycutt, 98, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, April 06, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center.
A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Moses M. Woodlief and Almay Henly Woodlief. She was a faithful member and servant of the First Baptist Church of Butner and the Ruth Helms Prayer Group for fifty-nine years. She retired from John Umstead Hospital after thirty years of service. During a long and productive lifetime, she demonstrated an abiding faith in God, an inspiring dedication to her Church, a loving concern for the welfare of others, and a deep love for her community.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Butner by Pastor Charlie Bryan. Entombment will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara High Roberts (Gary) and Deborah High Rogers (Lenny); two sons, Douglas High and Danny High (Jane) all of Creedmoor; three sisters, Maxine Dahly of Florida, Faye W. Noland of Maryland and Thelma Howard of Haysville; two brothers, Gilbert Woodlief of Durham and Wallace Woodlief of Raleigh; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Vance P. High and Jim Honeycutt; sisters, Lucille Jones, Marjorie Penny, Bernice Sanders, Betty Honeycutt and a grandchild, Allison High Roberts.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Butner and at other times at her home.
