Her Life
June 1, 2012

Mrs. Louise Bonner Young was born to the late Mrs. Pearl Bonner Cosby and the late Rev. Edmond Ramsey in Troup County, Georgia. She made her transition on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Lanier Health Services in Valley, Alabama.

Louise attended Tenth Street School in West Point, Georgia and was a graduate of Lanier High School in Lanett, Alabama. She furthered her education at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia and Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. She retired as a Trainer in Staff Development from Ohio State Hospital in Columbus, Ohio with 28 years of service.

Louise was deeply rooted with a strong spiritual foundation and accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 12. She joined the St. John Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev. G.W. Mitchell. She moved to New York City and joined the Southern Baptist Church where Rev. T.F. Wilson was the pastor. She later moved to Columbus, Ohio and united with the Friendship Baptist Church where the late Rev. R. T. Gleaves was the pastor. After retirement, she moved back home to Lanett and reunited with the St. John Baptist Church under Rev. Smith and remained a faithful member until her death. She served on the finance committee as the financial secretary and was a supporter of all other activities. She stated that she knew where she was spiritually and was in complete touch with her Heavenly Father.

She was united in holy matrimony to John H. Young for many years who preceded her in death.

Louise loved to travel to many beautiful places and shared those memories with her many family members and friends. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lula Ramsey Ingram.

Her memories will forever be engraved in the hearts of her loved ones: a devoted son, Quentin A. Reed, Lanett, AL; a loving aunt who was like a sister, Mrs. Geneva B. Carter, Lanett, AL; a dedicated cousin, Mrs. Marie Mills, Columbus, Ohio, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; a dear family friend, Norman Cox, San Antonio Texas.
