Her Life
December 26, 2017

Lucy was born to Nathan and Audis Brazell on December 24, 1928. She was so small she was placed in a shoebox for her crib. Lucy had two younger brothers, Nathan and Joe. Lucy use to say they didn’t have much money, but there was lots of love, family and friends at her house. She was a cheerleader, played softball, basketball, homecoming queen and life of the party. She married the love of her life, Don Pickren, on April 16,1949. Their family was complete when they had Donnie. Lucy and Don were at every event Donnie participated in and loved watching him play ball. Lucy’s career was at Collins Drugs, Playtex, and Colonial Bank. She made lots of friends and enjoyed serving people. Lucy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lafayette.

Lucy will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law and Mamaw. She attended most every ballgame of her grandchildren, chauffeured them around and spoiled them whenever she got the chance.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and her beloved Don.

She is survived by her son, Don (Dianne) Pickren; one granddaughter, Lindsey (Bobby) Colvin; three grandsons: Adam, Steve and Joe Pickren and three great grandchildren.
