Mrs. Lueatrice Martin Hendrix of Columbus passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice. She was 76 years of age and resided at 2215 Barnes Drive.

Born in Luxora, Arkansas on August 6, 1937, Mrs. Hendrix was the daughter of the late Clint and Louella Whiteside Martin. She was a devout member of the Nazareth Baptist Church where she served as a Youth Advisor and with the United Christian Women's Auxilillary. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, SFC (Retired) Charles Hendrix in 1996.

Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her daughters, Eleanor Dunlap (Anthony), Gwendolyn Hendrix and Anissa Hendrix; seven beloved grandchildren, Calvin B. Hendrix, Micheal Walker, Derrick Hendrix, Edward "Jarmel" Walker, Moreneika Hill, Tyron Hendrix and Jalen Hendrix; a brother, James Martin; a host of other family members and friends.
