Luke C. Nevius Jr, 73, of Woodbury, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. He was born in 1946 in Camden, graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1964,and later earned his associate's degree. He served in the Navy from 1966-1970. When Luke retired a few years ago, it was from Lassonde Pappas.
Luke married Elaine (Olsen) in 1969 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Luke is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Jennifer, grandkitty Ginger, sisters Cindy and Sandy, brother Billy, and many nieces and nephews.
Luke loved sports and you could usually find him and his family at a ballpark every baseball season. Over the years, he coached softball at both the Woodbury Little League and St. Patrick's, along with girls basketball at St. Patrick's. Luke also loved to travel and was always looking forward to the next adventure.
Due to covid-19, a memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: a cancer charity of your choosing, an animal shelter of your choosing, or the Dementia Society of America.
