Luke's Love For People

March 29, 2018

Luke was- and still is- such an Amazing spirit!!  He was always concerned about other people, and especially about their position with Salvation in Jesus Christ......so much so that he worried about people going to hell, and he spoke about these things often, especially in regards to his friends at school. He was a kid after the heart of God, and he loved Jesus very much!!! ❤ Luke was in the 4th grade, and I will never forget how he came home from school the day that Michael Jackson (the king of pop) had died, which was on June 25, 2009....he was really sad and crying, and he asked me if Michael was in Heaven? Luke knew Jesus Christ, The Lord of Glory, and he was asking me if Michael Jackson did too? I explained to him that I could not possibly know that answer, and only God Himself knew the answer......so he just suddenly says to me, "Well, I guess I'll find out when I get there!!!" I remember feeling a twinge of pain in my heart at that moment, and I told my precious 9 year old son, "Don't worry about it!! You aren't going to Heaven for a very long time!!!"......Luke suddenly left for Heaven a mere 4 months later, on October 29th, 2009......I guess he knows now if Michael is in Heaven, and I truly hope that they are doing the "Moonwalk" together in God's Glory!!!!

All Sheila's Children are Very close to my Heart, and I love them all, I was lucky to be able to be there when Luke was Born, I was in the Operating Room with Sheila and got to Cut Lukes cord when he was born, it was a really awesome experience to share. and I was lucky to be a part of their lives for many years. I wish that time changes and growing up didnt come between us so I could have known Luke, Tyler and Anthony as they grow into young men. My memories of them will be cherished forever. and Im sorry that Luke has parted us here on Earth But I know I will see him again. Love and Miss you Luke.

Luke's Iditarod Race

January 15, 2012

Luke took part in the 2009 Fairmount Elementary Iditarod Sled Race, and he was so excited to be the team's musher. A musher is the one who drives the sled behind the dogs, but we had no dogs racing- just kids! He led the kids to a stunning victory that day, and he was so happy and proud! He quickly gave me his first place prize, which was a small stuffed Husky sled dog, and told me that day that I should, "Keep it forever, Mama!" I told him that day that I surely would. I had no idea that he would depart later that very same year for his Heavenly eternal home, but I will always keep that little sled dog......until we meet again, Luke......I love you, my little buddy...... :)
